Suggestions are welcome from Alumni on any other critical projects that could be initiated to support the COVID response in Sri Lanka, including other social, health and health system issues.
Some of the suggestions received from Alumni include:
- Identify children of under-privileged patients who died from COVID-19 and extend necessary support, including pursuing their education.
- Support selected rural hospitals to improve health facilities, to handle COVID patients efficiently and those with other diseases.
- Explore the need and feasibility of upgrading the NIID HDU to an ICU in the future.
